Master's degree with honours in Applied and Environmental Geology from the University of Turin in 2010, with a thesis entitled Distribution, origin and consequences of fluoride content in groundwater in an area of the central Ethiopian Rift.
She specialised in data collection, analysis and dissemination in developing countries and in geological and hydrogeological mapping and modelling through GIS data management. Her work experience in the Alpine environment has allowed her to gain in-depth knowledge of pedological and geochemical glacial and periglacial issues. PhD in Polar Sciences at Ca' Foscari University of Venice with a project entitled Modelling the fate of POPs distribution in permafrost: combine large scale to local perspective. Research fellow at the Institute of Polar Sciences of the CNR (ISP-CNR) based in Venice; worked on the Nunataryuk project (Horizon 2020), coordinated by the Alfred Wegener Institute, with the aim of assessing the consequences of Arctic permafrost thawing and studying how this contributes to climate change. She is now working on the Horizon EU Illuq project (illuq.eu), mapping contaminants in the Arctic, from field operations logistics to modelling.
