Tuesday, March 3, 2026, will mark the public presentation of the ECOMAPS project, titled "Environmental and Climate Change Observation through Atmospheric Pollution Monitoring in Cities," co-funded by the European Union under the Interreg VI-A Italy-Slovenia Program. The event, is organized by Ca' Foscari University of Venice in collaboration with the Institute of Polar Sciences of the National Research Council (CNR-ISP)
This will be an opportunity to present a project that addresses climate change and air pollution in an integrated manner—two interconnected phenomena that are particularly critical in urban areas, which are known climate hotspots. On one hand, the project studies the influence certain pollutants have on climate and climate change; on the other, it investigates how changes in climate parameters can alter atmospheric chemistry and the reactions governing the production and degradation of airborne pollutants. - ECOMAPS Program
