The young participants were taken on a journey back in time to discover paleoclimate. Through sediment analysis and hands-on activities, girls and boys had the opportunity to step into the shoes of real researchers. With scientific tools in hand, they learned how to look for valuable clues to understand the history of our planet’s climate.
The event was an important opportunity for knowledge sharing between ISP-CNR and Ca’ Foscari University of Venice, as well as a valuable moment to introduce younger generations to polar sciences. Interacting with children always reminds us that curiosity is the driving force behind scientific research.
