In 2027 Dirigibile Italia, managed by the National Research Council of Italy (CNR) at the Ny-Ålesund Research Station (Svalbard), will mark three decades of continuous, multidisciplinary scientific activity. This is a milestone worth celebrating, launching a dedicated Special Issue, co-published in two prestigious Elsevier journals:

- Cold Regions Science and Technology Focusing on: Cryosphere, Ecological studies, Permafrost, Remote Sensing, and Technological development. (Lead Guest Editor: Andrea Spolaor)
- Dynamics of Atmospheres and Oceans Focusing on: Oceanography, Marine studies & biology, Atmosphere, and Pollutants. (Lead Guest Editor: Mauro Mazzola)

 We warmly invite contributions from all research groups that have received support from or collaborated with "Dirigibile Italia" over the past decades. The goal is to synthesize 30 years of climate monitoring, environmental studies, and international Arctic cooperation.
